On an ID, the butterfly signals a hidden disability to first responders. Wearing the butterfly spreads the symbol. Every shirt, sticker, and pin teaches one more first responder and one more neighbor what the butterfly means.
When this launches, proceeds will fund the 50-state mission.
One symbol, three marks

The butterfly began in the awareness ribbon's colors, became black to meet Maryland's license requirement, and took on royal blue in tribute to Eric's father. The meaning stays the same wherever it travels.
